I should probably read a book or something about Dosha eating. I’m kind of just basing my knowledge off of Pinterest, that’s how I base most of my daily decisions anyway.

Radishes and Swiss chard are both listed as good for my Dosha.  So between that and Bon Apetit, I found this recipe:


I think radishes are so underrated.  They can be a little spicy and cooked in a variety of ways.  People really don’t use them enough in recipes!

And I turned it into this recipe:

Radishes and eggplant in a white miso stew

  • ¼ cup of white miso
  • 3 bunches of radishes
  • 2 large eggplants
  • 2 bunches of Swiss chard
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • ½ a white onion
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • Gardien meatballs
  • tablespoon of lemon juice
  • a tablespoon of fresh mint


I add a cup of water to a large pan and I added garlic, onion and ¼ of white miso until the onions and garlic look like they are cooked.  I add the sliced radishes and cubed eggplant for ~7 minutes.  I added chopped Swiss chard and mint for ~5 minutes then turned off the flame.  Then I add the lemon juice and let everything cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Then when I plate I’ll microwave the meatballs and place them on top of the stew.

So I actually overcooked this dish so I adjusted the times to account for that.  Things happen in the kitchen!

This recipe is filling, tasty but also low carb and low fat!  The mint and Swiss chard added an extra depth to the white miso flavor.
